Looking Ahead

Registration for  the 2017 – 18 school year will be conducted over the next several weeks, starting with Sacred Heart Church registration from now until February 19th.  Students currently enrolled at SHARE will receive registration papers on February 23rd and 24th. This registration opportunity is for SHARE students who are planning to return to SHARE next year and any siblings that are ready to start preschool.  Please return your registration promptly to confirm enrollment for your child in the session of your choice. Alumni registration will be open March 7th.  Alumni will be reminded to call or come to the preschool with registration requests. We will conclude formal registration with public registration for classes on March 8th at 6 pm.  A lottery drawing will be held at 6:30 pm for the remaining spots open in the WF class if there is more interest than availability.

Valentine parties will be held February 9th and 10th during class time.  We ask that your child bring a valentine for each person in his/her class.  (MTTH  AM class – 23 students, MTTH PM class 19 students and WF classes- 25 students.  You may include a small treat with each valentine, but it is not required.  We will be making special valentine bags in class to hold all the valentines your child receives. When helping your child address valentines, please just have your child sign just his/her name. When valentines are addressed to each particular child, it takes almost the entire class time to hand out valentines.  We have many activities planned for the party and want to have time for ALL the fun!

We are still looking for someone in the W/F and M/T/TH am classes to donate unfrosted heart cookies for students to frost.  If you would like to help us with the cookies, please inform a teacher.

We also need parent volunteers for each class during our parties.

We will have school on February 20th to make up for the snow/ice day on January 16th.

Our Family Fun Night will be on Thursday, March 2nd from 5:30-7pm. Please consider purchasing a $10 canvas to paint. The proceeds will go toward a new literacy program we are planning to purchase. We will provide all paints and other supplies.

LOOKING AHEAD

We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thanks again for your donations for the Christmas Programs. We hope you enjoyed them as much as we did.

We had a staffing change that occurred with the start of the new year. Maria is no longer with us. Over the summer, her mother passed away and she has been busier than she expected helping her father out. She graciously stayed on for the first half of the year and we wish her all the best. Sam will be taking over Maria’s days, so we will not be hiring anyone new at this time.

“P” week will begin on Monday, January 16th. We have many fun activities planned. On Thursday and Friday the students can dress up like a pirate or a princess. We will also have popcorn for a special snack.
